A word from Virginie, founder of AMMA.

For as long as I can remember, the meaning of life, the things that determine who we are and the connection between thoughts and behavior have drawn my attention. Because my interest for these topics did not fade, I went to study psychology and embraced the opportunity to understand people’s inner workings.

With a Bachelor in Psychology & a Master in Human Resources Management and Social Work, I started working for a family business in Antwerp. Here, I quickly became head of the HR department. As the company grew exponentially, more challenges arose which broadened my scope to talent aquisition, people management, people coaching, team coaching, knowledge scaling, organizational transformation and change management.

The last covid years accelerated my direction towards change and growth. A journey in which certain questions frequently surfaced; Who am I? What excites me? What would my life look like if I put aside my fear of stepping out of my comfort zone, pushing boundaries and evolving as a person, as a partner, as a mother, as an employee...?

My interest in human behavior was rekindled. I wanted to understand how someone can become who they want to be, how we can free ourselves from unconscious patterns and behavior and how we can reconnect with our true self. In short, how we can change small and big things in order to begin a journey of permanent growth, self-development and true transformation.

Consequently, I set out to learn more about transgenerational patterns, coaching techniques and stress & burn-out management. Although I had gained a lot of experience in my career as a Human Resource Manager, I wanted more tools and theory so that I could share my knowledge confidently and dream of my own practice. This is how the idea of AMMA began to take shape.
